“I cannot sit through considerable consumption of cigarettes”

May 10. 1928.

Dear Mrs. Cooley,

Please reserve two tickets for your next banquet. May I beg you not to place me next to Mrs. Chapin. She is annoyed by my smoking and I cannot sit through considerable consumption of cigarettes.

My sister hopes to have better luck that at the previous occasions. With best regards from both of us,

Cordially,

Rosika
