Dear Madam,

Your complaint in relation to insanitary conditions of your apartment, due to defective plumbing, etc. was referred to a Field Inspector, who made a careful survey of premises, and reported:

1. Offensive odors and sewerage backing up in kitchen sink and wash tube in apartment 2E and apartments at East and North due to obstructed and defective house drain in cellar.
2. Plaster on walls and ceilings in various rooms broken loose and cracked.
3. Wall paper in several rooms torn and unclean.
4. Painted walls of several rooms unclean and insanitary.

Inasmuch as this is a tenement house, a copy of our report will be referred to that Department for action.
