Dear Madam,
Your complaint in relation to insanitary conditions of your apartment, due to defective plumbing, etc. was referred to a Field Inspector, who made a careful survey of premises, and reported:
- Offensive odors and sewerage backing up in kitchen sink and wash tube in apartment 2E and apartments at East and North due to obstructed and defective house drain in cellar.
- Plaster on walls and ceilings in various rooms broken loose and cracked.
- Wall paper in several rooms torn and unclean.
- Painted walls of several rooms unclean and insanitary.
Inasmuch as this is a tenement house, a copy of our report will be referred to that Department for action.
Yours respectfully,
A. Blauvelt M.D.
Assistant Sanitary Superintendent
